Portable software Return
Portable software is so called because it is
designed to run independently
of any particular computer. It makes use of the computer screen
and keyboard and the random access memory (RAM) but
it is not loaded onto the computer since all the files it requires are on
the
memory stick. When it is shut down and removed it leave no trace behind
It does not normally conflict with any of the programmes already installed.
This mean that no time is required to install before it can be used. The Flash
drive is
simply inserted into a USB port and the software can be opened up and used at
once. It may be a little slower to load but once loaded it works normally
